Professor Alam Shah Khan's writing is still relevant today.

On May 17, 2018, a memorial symposium was organised at MLV Shramjeevi College to commemorate the 15th death anniversary of Professor Alam Shah Khan. The chairman of the symposium, senior writer Mr. Aabid Adib, said that Prof. Alam Shah Khan was a creator of progressive consciousness. He drew attention towards the sufferings of the oppressed and marginalized people. In the current scenario, when humanity is in danger, and democratic values are being sidelined his writings have become more relevant. As member of the Human Rights Commission, his articles on contemporary issues highlight the impediments in the functioning of the system. Dr. Tarana Parveen suggested the republication of his complete writings, Prof. Sudha Chaudhary, HOD Philosophy at Mohanlal Sukhadia University, expressed the need for collecting the memories of University professors and other employees for publication, Dr. Meenakshi Jain suggested compilation of his letters, Dr. Farhat Banu highlighted his personality and contributions to social life, Dr. Indira Jain suggested organizing a national symposium on his writings and encouraged dissemination of his writings to the general public, while Prof. Chandalia proposed gathering critical articles on his literature from fans and scholars throughout the country.
